A first-time founder had a vision for a hyperlocal food delivery platform but no technical team, no product roadmap, and no clear understanding of the competitive landscape. Previous attempts with freelance developers had produced unusable code that couldn't be built upon.
Solution
We ran a 2-week discovery sprint to validate the concept, map user personas, and define the MVP scope. We then designed the UX with a focus on the core ordering flow, built a cross-platform app using React Native, implemented a real-time order tracking system, and deployed the backend on cloud-native infrastructure. The entire process from discovery to app store launch took 4 months.
Outcome
5,000 downloads in the first month with a 35% day-7 retention rate. The founder secured $250K in seed funding based on the traction data and the quality of the technical architecture. The app now handles 500+ daily orders.
